We have two cars in our family. I am proud to say that both are hybrid vehicles. This fact might show you that I am not a petrol head! Quite the opposite. Efficiency is everything for me when I am driving.
Eventually we as a family will convert to electric vehicles (EV) one day that is certain. But so far there are few alternatives to realistically switch to 2 pure EV’s when you take our family’s annual travel distances into consideration (Holiday trips with the car exceeding 500 km, family size of 4+, a non reliable charging points network in Europe and fairly long charging duration per charge while on a trip).
Times are changing for electric vehicles
Fortunately things are changing. That is why I wanted to share 3 current news items on EV developments I found interesting. Here they are:
- 80% of Private Cars Won’t Disappear by 2030
- Stanford study says fossil-fueled cars will vanish in 8 years as ‘big oil’ collapses
- 23.5% Of Norway Auto Market = Plug-In Electric Vehicles In 2016 (US DOE Report)
